Citadel is pissed. He punches an inner wall and swears in frustration. Apparently, Loki was not even there. He was prepared for them with the lackeys and a hologram. They were imprisoned and Mom, Dad, Archon, and Arclight were separated.
Magnus was making alterations to the ship to find the others but never completed them. I give him my sensor device to integrated into the ship. Helix and Elektra work on helping Magnus upgrade the sensors to detect the others.
Nihoto swears he will rescue my mother since he owes her his life.
Roam around looking for rogue planet. WAY off the galactic plane. Uninhabitable for half the year. Probably live underground.
Suddenly, I find myself nominated for lordship and dominion since the Guardians are not apparently the most cooperative individuals without Celestia and/or Hedron. So that leaves me. Wonderful.
Time to cloak?
Wait, the ship has a cloaking device? Cool. Unfortunately, it works like the cloak in Star Trek – no shields while cloaked.
We get as close to the planet as necessary. They are probably there, but either underground, blocked, or being interfered with. Or all of the above.
Let’s take a look at their communications. Planet owned by the Chitauri – subjugated indigenous propulation in slavery, miners.
We need to get closer without being detected. Helix and I pilot the ship. (both Red FEATs)

They are underground at the bottom of a mining shaft. The deepest one on the planet.
2 lifesigns at the top of the shaft at the entrance and 2 at the bottom. Unknown aliens. I may be able to create a gate, but its not for certain. The Guardians have a transporter, but can only beam to top of shaft. There’s a lift.
Beam in with masks and go to town on the bad guys. Citadel first with crystal shield and Synergy on back using her deflection ability. Once we’re through and Icarus confirms atmosphere is breathable, we can get into the fight. Icarus is wearing his combat shell. I go last.
It takes me 3 tries, but I finally open the gate after Citadel pisses me off. Red FEAT bitches. Citadel goes through with a crystal shield and Ellie on his back. There are 2 Chitauri and 2 turrets waiting. The Chitauri were apparently quite busy and ddi not see us. Citadel busts in and surprises them. They recover, and one shoots Xariel as she flies into the room. Ow. Her natural armour eats most of it and she takes 10 pts. Then she attacks. His head goes flying and thus is the end of Chitauri #1. The turrets begin moving. Helix uses his moulding to bend the barrels. The first goes well, and then comes the critical failure. He improves its accuracy instead. Citadel runs over to disable the turret and bends it like 2 dollar hooker on the kitchen table.
Apparently, the turrets were made by hammer and they explode. Citadel almost takes a turret to the face, but I use my TK to yank him out of the way and place him on his feet.
Nihoto kills the remaining Chitauri.
Now we need to get through the door to my parents. There’s a control panel. It’s not written in Asgard. I try and translate it, but it’s too alien for me. So I link my mind to the computer. Enter the system and open the door from the inside. There are 4 huge pods inside with no apparent guards. This seems a bit too easy. I mention Loki’s name and another hologram appears. We chat, and I pretty much give away my secret identity. Fortunately, this is not a two-way transmission.
Meanwhile, Helix is trying to figure out how to shut off the hologram and disable the traps. First he has to locate everything, so he needs Nihoto’s help.
Loki informs me that we were “made to be ruled.” Whatever. He apparently does not understand us and our need for freedom. Idiot.
Helix locates a sensor box in a hidden console. As I continue my conversation, Helix turns the console to crystal. Loki reacts and activates something bad – probably some form of self-destruct. I link up to the computer to see if I can open up Mom’s pod. I’m not completely positive, but we’re on a countdown for all four pods.
I link up to the computer and think I know how to disable it without triggering the self-destruct. I take care of Mom’s pod, only to be knocked down by a pissed-off Caraveros. She’s glowing in righteous fury and fries the circuits of Dad’s pod, freeing Uperion.
Meanwhile, Helix uses his phasing and crystallization to fry the next pod and open it up. IT WORKS!!!! He gets Archon out while I pull Arclight out of his. Mom and Dad are suspended inside their elementals since they have taken some bad damage as a result of Loki’s imprisonment. We leave just in time.
The planet blows up. Yes, I said ‘planet’. Apparently Loki was not terribly attached to his lackey’s. Or their planet.
Magnus managed to triple the speed so we will get back to Earth in an hour.
I swear a lot and am now determined to find a way to beat Loki with his glowstick of destiny.
