Kimyee and Elli hook Rachel up with a new dress, because heaven forbid she wear the same thing twice. I would hate for her to get the hassle from the fashionistas, however. Kimyee is nice and fancyish, while Elli is defiantly wearing a jean skirt. Romeo is wearing a white cowboy outfit, complete with hat. Wow. Just, wow.
At least this time Cynthia does not expect Elli to take care of the plates. Oooh. Dakota was not demoted. She’s still on door duty. Increased security? Who knows, I am too busy checking out Adrian’s ass. Wait. Is that a dress cowboy suit? Wow, Romeo, rockin’ the southern fashion scene.
Peter notices that we have some more security guys and some dude from Stronghold.
And so the brown-nosing begins! Cynthia starts in on Peter and flings herself upon the alter of his favour. WTF is up with her? It’s like she’s clubbing him like a baby seal. Different yet HUGE cake. Wow. Peter is truly a master of this political BS stuff.
No MTV, but there is a DJ and a orchestral quartet, Adam Prescott. DJ Adam P. The DJ has a variety of music – lots of teen pop crap, some techno, etc. Even the stuff for mixing. Nifty. He was the only one out of 6 what was able to made it through the Secret Service. He’s getting paid enough money to have purchase his equipment. Peter asks around about what kind of music they prefer.
Peter used to do the DJ thing in California, but left it all behind when he moved here.
Romeo is from Nashville, TN. His uncle used to be a used car salesman. He explains the joys of the Grand Ole Opry, horrified that I have no idea what he’s talking about.
Thankfully, the music begins. We go and dance, apparently the chicken bug dance, but dancing nonetheless. Woo!
Finally, we get access to the food. Well, you gotta give Cynthia props for the catering. Yum. The cake is larger and more intricate than last time. Elli is going to be wired for hours.
We go out and dance like crazy people to get the sugar out of our systems. Peter treats us to his DJ mad L33t DJ skillz.
And the party passes uneventfully. It ends at 4 and we take off.
We decide to break and go get cleaned up. Grab pizza in town after getting an hour driving lesson from Kimyee. Yellow FEAT. Woot.
Go to Mama Luca’s for dinner.
We discuss the future and our potential options for collage and whatnot. Cynthia will probably attend her father’s alma mater, Yale, while we go to MIT. Peter has plenty of “options”.
Rachel (sophomore) is taking Algebra II, German III, Fashion, British Literature
We have our pizzas, and as usual, they make fun of my healthy, veggie pizza. Dinner passes uneventfully.
We go see Drive Angry 3D, and there are no attacks, robberies or kidnappings. I’m sure things are going to change soon, as things have been WAY too quiet.
We head out to the cars after deciding not to get ice cream.
And then it happens…
6 people teleport out of nowhere. They are apparently the same guys who attacked us the last time we went to the movies. One of them grabs Rachel and knocks her out.
“Surrender, Cyrillo, or the hot girl gets it!” Really? Can they not find another hobby? I wonder if they’ve been hanging out around the theatre breathlessly awaiting the time when we succumb to the lure of the silver screen. Nazi pedophiles apparently have no lives.
We are surrounded!
“Do not interfere, peon, because we will do all sorts of terrible nasty things to the girl.”
Cyrillo grabs her and hands her off to me. I grab her and then Mr. Bad Guy #1 fires his gun. Cyrillo leaps heroically in the way! The bad guy misses, barely, but hits my shoulder and the bullet falls to the ground. And the molestation continues…
Kimyee throws a fireball at Mr. BG1 and misses. The ones attacking Peter are doing a fantastic imitation of the Stooges and completely miss, while Elli gets grabbed, as usual. Seeing as I am holding Rachel, martial arts are not an option. So I try to punch him in the nads with my mind. Ouch. I miss the nuts but hit him anyway. The second attack misses.
I get grabbed. Prick. Mr. BG1 has apparently stopped trying to bring Cyrillo in alive. Head shot, but misses. Yosono takes him out with a fireball.
I’m tired of being grappled and try to free myself with TK. I miss the first time, but the second time is a solid whack to the family jewels. He lets go of me and falls down stunned. Ouch.
Cyrillo moves to attack one of the ones near Peter. Miss! But at least he gives the schmuck another target. The bad guys attack. Elli gets grabbed again and Cyrillo counterattacks the minion. Whiff! But at least the evil schmuck missed.
Peter knocks his schmuck back with a solid punch. WHAM! Yosono gets attacked and misses her counterattack. Elli escapes and hits BG5. Sweet! There’s another whiff from Peter, but then I hit BG5 twice, once in the nuts.
As it looks like they are going to lose, they run away like little bitches. “Recall!” They teleport away.
I use the open wireless networks in the area to get a possible frequency for their comm signal. Woot!
We gtfo. Rachel awakens in the car and we tell her how Cyrillo kicked ass and took names in her honour. My hero!
We take her home. Cyrillo gets a smooch! Woo! And then daddy-o opens the door. He’s a big man. 300 lbs of 6’ solid muscle. Odell Construction. Ooh.
They take me home.
I’m working on deconstructing the code from Cyrillo’s nanites to I can stop them from reprogramming him. Running scans at Phoenix to build a 3d model of the hardware so I can protect him from being shut down. It’ll be some days before Minerva is done and then Elli and I will have to go through the code.
Build a monitor to scan the evil bad guy frequency (red FEAT). It’s portable and has a huge range. I install it into Icarus, who sulks about the lost of his 12 TB of music. I replace the drive with a 128 GB microSD card and will build a custom drive later. Analyze tazer. Look at nanite information.
Do the homework from Dr. McCoy. Gate to Xavier Institute to drop off homework and get the assignments for next week.
Monday, March 14th.
I keep the chastisement of my mother in mind and pay attention, not working on other assignments. Ah the joys of becoming a responsible teen.
Right before lunch, the power goes out and stays out. So much for the power generators. WTF? We’re in Calculus.
It’s going to get cold, as it’s wintery and snowy outside.
We hear the teleport effect from Cyrillo’s special friends. 30 times.
Icarus alerts me to something and I have him send it to the phone.
